Sony non sembra essere affatto rassegnata alla distribuzione deijailbreak per la sua console. Dopo aver bloccato la vendita ufficiale di chiavette pre-programmate e simili, ora intende agire contro tutte le versione open-source, chioudendo i siti che ospitamno i sorgenti necessari a programmare le USB board. Garyopa, admin del forum PSXScene.com, ha dischirato:
"The situation involving the “PS Jailbreak” devices has recently become even more
serious in that the software from the devices, known as “PSGroove,” “OpenPSJailbreak,” and
“PSFreedom,” among other names, is rapidly being copied and distributed on the Internet.
Id. SCEA has served DMCA “take down” notices to sites hosting this illicit software, but as
yet has been unable to verify the identity of those behind its copying and distribution."
In poche parole Sony intende perseguire tutti coloro che sviluppano, distribuiscono e in genereale hanno avuto a che fare con qualsiasi soluzione jailbreak per PS3. E' iniziata una nuova caccia alle streghe?
